Fascinating Insects
Butterflies are beautiful flying insects with large scaly wings. Butterflies are also very good fliers. They have two pairs of large wings covered with colourful, iridescent scales in overlapping rows. Butterflies feed primarily on nectar from flowers. Some also derive nourishment from pollen, tree sap, rotting fruit, dung, and dissolved minerals in wet sand or dirt. Butterflies play an important ecological role as pollinators. They flit from flower to flower for its sustenance. Butterflies have very short lives. A butterfly is one of nature's most beautiful creatures in the world.

Bridge Collapsed
Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 I-35W bridge in Minneapolis collapsed into the Mississippi River because of structural failure. It happened at about 6:05pm Central Time during the height of evening rush hour killing seven people and injuring dozens. Cars were crushed under huge slabs of concrete, flipped onto their roofs or thrown in the river as the 40-year-old bridge, packed with vehicles bumper to bumper traffic, collapsed with a thunderous roar.
