In memory of Sir Edmund Hillary

Sir Edmund Percival Hillary, 88, died of heart failure last Friday. State funeral has been planned for January, 22, 2008.

In 1953, he at the age of 33 and Sherpa mountaineer, Sardar Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to have reached the 29,035 foot summit of Mount Everest.
