Heaviest Newborn
On September 21, a heaviest baby boy, Akbar Risuddin was delivered at Abdul Manan hospital in the town of Kisaran, North Sumatra province, Indonesia weighing 19.2 pound (8.7 kg.).
Akbar was born to a diabetic mother in a 40-minute caesarean delivery that was complicated because of his unusual weight and size.The baby's extreme weight was the result of excessive glucose from his mother during pregnancy.
