Actress Farrah Fawcett who starred in Charlie's Angels during the 70's died Thursday, June 25 after battling with cancer. Farrah Fawcett the Charlie's Angels star whose feathered blond hair and dazzling smile made her one of the biggest sex symbols of the 70's. She was 62. Mary Farrah Leni Fawcett was born on February 2, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Michael Jackson




Singer Michael Jackson was rushed from his home to UCLA Medical Center around midday US time on Thursday after he stopped breathing and suffered a cardiac arrest, but his death was announced shortly afterwards. Tributes have poured in for the 50-year-old, who will go down in history as the king of the pop. Michael Joseph Jackson was born August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana.

Crops on towers





In Dubai two inventors from Italy invented a unique vertical seawater farm design to grow crops on pods suspended high above the ground. The project is based on the principles of the ancient Arabian wind towers to capture humidity and irrigate crops grown high above the ground.
